I just got four Atomic Pis and have set them up on a rack. I would like to ask if anyone had to do anything odd to get the passwords working. Each of mine boots up and shows the login screen along with a password Default password is: X
but none of them is accepting their password.
Is it maybe the keyboard? or layout? I'm in South Africa GMT +2 if that helps.
Any ideas appreciated. I'm pretty close to wiping them with a fresh install of Ubuntu server
Ok, figured something out. Going to leave this here incase it helps someone else out in the future.
Press Ctrl + Alt + F2.
Once greeted with the login screen,
Press Ctrl + Alt + F2 again
Now you should be greeted with a terminal.
Login with the password indicated.

I was able to use Ctrl + Alt + F2 to see that the password which looked like it started with '1' actually started with 'i'. That solved my login problem.
